GreenSeat for travel agents

How does integrating GreenSeat in the booking procedure work?
GreenSeat has developed extremely easy systems so that all the customer has to do is to tick the GreenSeat option when booking his flight. The customer sees how much it costs right away, and the certificate is sent automatically. This makes it just as simple to choose the GreenSeat option as it is to include travel insurance in the booking. Read more about the possibilities available.

Is it expensive and/or complicated to integrate GreenSeat?
Experience has taught us that the investment costs are low. We have specially developed the integration module so that it is easy to apply. Of course this will to some extent depend on the specific booking procedure used by your travel organisation. A specialist from GreenSeat will be happy to give you any necessary assistance. Want to know more? Please feel free to contact us.

What do I have to do as a travel organisation to integrate GreenSeat into the booking procedure?
This will depend on a number of factors which vary per organisation. If you are interested in integrating GreenSeat in your booking procedure, please feel free to contact us.

What are the advantages of integrating GreenSeat in the booking procedure?
Making GreenSeat part of your booking procedure enables you to offer your customers an extra service whereby it is very easy for them to make their seat a green seat. You are showing that your travel organisation is concerned about the climate, and it gives you a way to stand out from the rest. And (apart from the initial IT changes) it doesn’t cost your organisation anything at all! Read more about the advantages of offering GreenSeat.

Are there any other options for offering GreenSeat?
Besides integration in the booking procedure (4 stars) there are a number of other ways to offer GreenSeat to your customers. The various options are:

5 Stars: GreenSeat carbon offset included as intrinsic part of the flight. Non-optional.
4 Stars: GreenSeat kilometre-dependent offset option incorporated in the booking procedure (integrated).
3 Stars: GreenSeat fixed-price offset option incorporated in booking procedure (largely integrated).
2 Stars: GreenSeat option prominently offered to all customers immediately after booking procedure has been completed.
1 Star: Explanation about GreenSeat in travel brochures, link or reference to GreenSeat on website, GreenSeat flyers included with travel documents.

Want to know more about the options available? Please feel free to contact us.

Which travel organisations are offering GreenSeat?
The GreenSeat option is already being offered by more than 100 travel organisations, in both the leisure and business flight markets. ATP, Raptim, Cheaptickets, First Choice, Joker, Shoestring and Sawadee are just a few of these organisations.

How many passengers use the GreenSeat option?
Experience has taught that when GreenSeat is offered to passengers in a convenient format (i.e. when the choice of a green seat is integrated into the booking procedure) a considerable proportion of passengers (often as high as 25% and sometimes up to 38%) chooses the green seat option. Of course this percentage depends on how well the green seat concept is explained and communicated.
