Independent certification
All projects of Climate Neutral Group are verified by independent organisations accredited by the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change). They include SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance), TüV Nord , TüV Sud, DNV and KPMG Sustainability. These certification organisations are responsible for:

• Checking the quantity of prevented emissions or the quantity of carbon absorbed or removed.
• Monitoring these matters throughout the duration of the project.
• Issuing a 'Verification Report' that states the current quantity of emission reductions and thus the volume of generated carbon credits.

Independent registration
The carbon credits from Climate Neutral Group’s projects are held in independent registries. We have accounts at the following internationally recognised registries: the Markit and APX registries for our VCS Projects and the APX Gold Standard Registry for our Gold Standard Projects. The carbon credits that Climate Neutral Group uses for its customers are retired from the stocks held in these registries. This enables us to guarantee that each carbon credit will be sold once only.
