Our services


GreenSeat helps travel agents to offer an easy GreenSeat carbon offset option. By easy we mean easy for you to implement as a travel organisation, and easy for the customer to choose a green seat.

Unique CO2 calculation system

To achieve this, GreenSeat has developed a unique carbon calculation system that enables travel agents to calculate the carbon footprint of flights and car travel to present this to their customers. Following this, customers can decide if they want to offset their emissions. Payment takes place directly via the travel agent and the customer receives a personal certificate from GreenSeat. 

GreenSeat works together with more than 100 travel organisations. More and more of these organisations are choosing to offer this integrated GreenSeat option to their customers.

The percentage of passengers from the above organisations that chooses the GreenSeat option is more than 35%. Offering carbon offsets to combat climate change is clearly a service that appeals to customers. By offering this service, you save your customers a great deal of work from having to arrange their carbon offsets separately.


Five-star system
There are different ways of offering GreenSeat to your customers. GreenSeat uses a five-star system to show passengers how easy it is to book a GreenSeat for their flight at the different travel agents:
 
5 Stars: GreenSeat carbon offset included as intrinsic part. Non-optional. 
4 Stars: GreenSeat option integrated in the booking procedure through kilometre-dependent offsetting.
3 Stars: GreenSeat option largely integrated in the booking procedure through fixed-price offsetting.
2 Stars: GreenSeat option prominently offered to all customers immediately after booking procedure has been completed. Customers have to fill in their data again at the GreenSeat website.
1 Star: Explanation about GreenSeat in travel brochures and website and/or including GreenSeat flyers with travel documents.


Communication
If you want to show that your organisation is aware of the problem and is willing to contribute to the solution, you can communicate about it. Climate change is bound to affect tourist destinations. By communicating about the GreenSeat option, you can show that you care about preserving the areas your customers are flying to. You can find acommunication example here.
